The Colors by Abbas Kiarostami was first published as a book in 1984 by Kanoon, Iran’s Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults. In 2022, the Japanese publisher Kanoa acquired the rights to books from Kanoon, and the text was adapted into Japanese by Keiko Aikou. This edition beautifully preserves the poetic essence and visual appeal Kiarostami is known for.

This picture book is perfect for children, but it makes a wonderful addition to any collection of art and film literature for big readers too ;)
